'Ama'uTriblend Dolman Tops
Huli ka lau o ka 'ama'u i uka, nui ka wai o kahawai • When the leaves of the 'ama'u turn towards the upland, it is a sign of a flood
When the winds blow the leaves of the 'ama'u fern so that they bend toward the mountains it is also blowing clouds inland, which will produce rain.
The 'Ama'u, a tree fern is one of the first species to colonize the barren lava flows that make Hawai'i Island so famous. This is an incredibly harsh landscape and many challenges must be overcome in order for it to persist. This does not seem to be an issue for the 'Ama'u. It is just as much at home in these water-starved habitats as it is in wetter forests. It is easily the most successful species of it's kind, having colonized every island in Hawai'i. Our Na Makua Tops tops feature our new 'Ama'u design printed on the front and back. Our new Triblend Dolman Tops are a pre-shrunk Rayon, Cotton, Poly blend that come in soft vintage colors. Made for a light and comfortable fit, they are available in size Small thru 3XL. # AMTDA
